Information

This is where you will find the information you will need to know for the day to day running of Class 3.  We are in the process of updating this section at the moment.

Homework

Regular homework for Year 2 and 3 is statutory. This will focus mainly

on reading and spelling but it may include topic related research as well.

Alongside learning new words and sounds the children will have to practise

"High Frequency Words" which they are expected to know by the end

of their specific year group. It is important that we achieve a balance of

both.

Children will also be encouraged to learn their multiplication tables as

homework. It is crucial we work together to support the children in their

efforts to recall the facts quickly using the correct language.

Please note….

Please make sure your child’s P.E. kit is in school for use on Tuesdays

and Thursdays. There are times when we are required, for different reasons,

to swap P.E slots with other classes therefore it is better if the children

bring their kit on a Monday and take it home on a Friday. It is crucial,

especially with better weather approaching, the children come prepared

with a separate outdoor and indoor kit.

Some children will also need to come prepared from swimming on Tuesdays.

Please also make sure that all school clothing is clearly labelled.

Can we also remind you that children should not bring any toys or jewellery

to school, unless specifically asked to by their teacher, as they are

easily lost or damaged.
